Cool Air are a family owned business based in Dartford, Kent who supply VW parts, specialising in Beetles and camper vans. They offer a very large range, from engines and body parts to nuts, bolts and screws!
Rob, Cool Air’s Managing Director, is an enthusiast who aims to supply customers with the quality, prices and service he would expect to receive himself!
With Rob’s father, Ray, handling the restoration side of the business and Rob’s sister, Sarah, handling the finances, Cool Air have been able to expand rapidly without losing the core values that have enabled them to develop their business to this point.
The Business Challenge
When they came to us, Cool Air were trading from a retail store and an eCommerce site. Cool Air used three different systems for EPOS, web and accounts, and all of these solutions were struggling to cope with the business’ growth. For example, when Cool Air first came to us they stocked over 20,000 different product lines, but could only list 1,000 of them on their website! The MD used to spend five-to-seven hours per night amending and listing the products he wanted to sell due to the lack of capacity.
Cool Air invested in a seven user Khaos Control system and our very first eCommerce site (Complete Commerce) to provide them with the software infrastructure to enable them to run and grow their business. No more different systems or limitations to how many items can fit on a web site. By implementing a fully integrated solution that encompassed their sales, purchasing, finances, management reporting and eCommerce solution, Cool Air have been been able to transform their business. Cool Air also had customisation delivered to feed in stock levels held on their suppliers’ stock management systems, enabling their sales staff and website to provide accurate supplier inventory levels to their customers for items that Cool Air do not stock themselves.
